A joint meeting was held for mutual collaboration between the ANSA and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). The meeting was attended by Zabihullah Ziarmal, director general of the ANSA and TIKA director Zohto Chal.

At the beginning, Mr. Ziarmal talked about the long-standing historical, economic, social and amicable relations between Afghanistan and Turkey, and added that Turkey has always cooperated with Afghanistan in various fields, which is a good experience between both countries over the history.

following that, ten priorities of ANSA, including laboratories, quality certificates, metrology, weights and scales, the establishment of a national metrology institute, holding online programs and a number of other important issues were discussed.

According to Mr. Ziarmal, Afghanistan is rich in the precious stones sector of a country and to establish a laboratory for identifying and stabilizing the quality of stones is a must, which will consider a substantial achievement for the trade of precious stones for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and also point out the establishment of a permanent exhibition of standard and quality products.

Similarly, Tika Chairman Zohto Chal expressed his gratitude at meeting with Mr. Ziarmal and stressed the importance of historical relations between the two countries. He briefed the TIKA's activities clear and, according to him TIKA, supports development programs and projects in Afghanistan in various fields, particularly education and health. Also, the Head of TIKA in Afghanistan expressed his readiness to present the proposals of the ANSA to the relevant authorities of the Republic of Turkey, which was appreciated by Mr. Ziarmal, head of Afghanistan National Standards Authority.
